Jack (Michael Keaton): "You covered for us?! That's a lie! That's not true."
Jinx Lathom (Jeffrey Lathom):"C'mon, Jack. Larry and Stan were already in here. They already admitted that I covered for them. Now, c'mon. It's time for you to be a stand-up guy."
Jack (Michael Keaton): "Larry and Stan would say anything you wanted them to say. They need their jobs. You want me to be a stand-up guy? Okay: I'll be a stand up guy. I need my job, too but what's going on here is wrong!!!
If I did such a bad job, why did production go down and costs go up, after you fired me?! Huh? Look, I don't know what this guy told you. I don't know what he does with his books. I'm a car maker. I make cars. I'm not an accountant but I'll tell you something, I took a lot of pride in my work."
(Jack's son enters the room) Alex: "Dad?"
Jinx Lathom (Jeffrey Lathom): "Now son, son, you're going to have to get out of here! We're in the middle of a meeting!"
Jack (Michael Keaton): (turns to his son) "Just a minute, Alex. Daddy's talking."
(Jack turns back to the executives) "I know that's not real popular right now, 'taking pride in your work.' I did. I cared, you fired me for it!"
(Jack turns to address Jinx) You ever talk to my kid like that again, I'm knocking you out!"
(Jack leaves the office)
